Abigail is your new AI assistant, and Telegram (a free messaging app, like texting) is where she lives. This page walks you through everything โ step by step, click by click. You only have to do this once.
Let's go โ start Step 1 โ๐ฅClick the big button below. It takes you to Telegram's official download page, which automatically picks the right version for your computer.
Get Telegram โOnce it's downloaded:
๐ฑTelegram just needs your phone number โ same idea as any messaging app. Don't type your number by hand โ use the copy button so there's no chance of a typo:
That's your number with the +1 country code already in front โ copy it, then paste it into the Telegram phone box.
๐ ๏ธThis sounds technical. It isn't. Telegram has an official bot-building robot called BotFather, and its whole job is helping regular people make bots. It asks questions; you supply the answers โ and every answer you need is right here on this page, with a copy button next to it.
Open BotFather in Telegram โIf a web page opens first, click "Open in app." Now, inside the chat with BotFather, here's your entire conversation, scripted in advance:
๐ชชEvery Telegram user has a secret number ID. Michael needs yours so Abigail knows to only ever talk to you โ nobody else.
Get my ID โ๐จBy now your Notes app has exactly two things: the long secret code from BotFather, and your ID number. Michael needs both โ send them however you two usually talk.
Feel free to copy this message and paste it to him:
๐ฒSame app, second door. Because you used your real number, everything you already set up appears on your phone automatically.
Get Telegram from the App Store โWhile you wait for Michael's "you're wired!" message:
